Chats are text-only messages sent between mission members from ArcGIS Mission Manager or ArcGIS Mission Responder. You can access the Chat tool in ArcGIS Mission Responder from the mission map.
You can send chats to any mission member, group of members, team, or teams. Chats to active users are sent in real time. You can send chats to inactive users, but these are stored and sent when the user becomes active again.
All chats appear in the mission feed. When you view a chat in the feed, the last message sent is displayed, along with sender information and the approximate time it was sent. When you open a chat from the feed, all messages are displayed with sender, date, and time.
When you open the Chat tool, all chats you created or in which you participated are listed, along with the option to create a chat.
